How come you only offer ingots from Switzerland?
Many of our customers are from these countries and are accustomed to excellent quality standards.
Furthermore, we realised that, in some cases of resale of ingots abroad, Italian ones were looked upon with suspicion and melted down to check their purity, with time delays and unnecessary costs for the customer.
How come you only offer ingots from the Argor Hereaus foundry?
Obrelli has chosen to offer only Argor Hereaus ingots because of the unparalleled quality standards in production and the characteristics of the guarantees. In addition, the service offered, combined with the policies of responsibility and sustainability, respect for the environment and labour, make Argor the best interlocutor imaginable.
I noticed the Ruffoni signature; what does it do?
He is a ‘precious metal assayer’. In other words, an external certifier, super partes, who has no commercial purpose and is extraneous to production. He checks, for each ingot, the perfection of shape, weight and purity. If everything matches, the ingot is hallmarked and the guarantee is issued, sealed in the blister with the ingot. The ingot is engraved with a serial number, which is also printed on the sealing blister and on our sales invoice, for transparent traceability of each individual piece. All this in compliance with the very strict Swiss regulations.
What do you mean by ‘first-hand ingot’?
In order to guarantee the traceability of each ingot and maximum security for the investor, we deliver, together with the ingots, a photocopy of the foundry’s delivery note. Then the triangulation between the Swiss foundry, Obrelli and the end customer is certified. When we buy back from private individuals, the ingots are sent to the foundry for anti-counterfeiting control and these are renumbered.
Could counterfeit ingots be circulating?
Unfortunately, yes. This is another reason why we recommend always using operators who are not only qualified, but who adopt due diligence measures to protect the end customer. We guarantee 100% quality and certification for our ingots. These, in fact, are not purchased from private individuals but come directly from our refineries.
By purchasing from us, we guarantee you maximum traceability and transparency, at every stage of purchase.
Can I resell my bars abroad?
Of course. If you wish, we can take care of it by guaranteeing the successful collection. We are in daily contact with foreign partners.
What is the difference between your current account with Cassa di Trento and the Austrian Raiffeisen? Do foreign transfers have costs?
No difference. This account, first used by Austrian and Swiss customers, is actually used by many Italian customers who prefer (for banking confidentiality, thanks also to our acronym, which can also be used on the Italian account), that no one understands what is being purchased with that transfer.
You have two buy-back prices. How come?
Exactly. Standard price, very competitive, and ‘Return-Obrelli’ price, better. To reward the customer who buys from us we undertake, writing it on the purchase invoice, that when he decides to disinvest, the minimum price will be calculated at that time, based on an institutional site. Super convenient and super transparent, so one more reason to buy from us at Obrelli.
I live far from Trentino-South Tyrol, how can I buy gold without coming to your premises?
You can buy at our e-commece oro.obrelli.it, call us on 0461 242040 0 338 8250553 or send us an email at info@obrelli.it.
How can I pay?
By bank transfer.
What are the arrangements for delivery and collection?
Collection from our shops in Lavis and Trento or from our 15 offices in Trentino Alto Adige. Alternatively, we can deliver directly to your home, either by specialised courier service or by courier.
What do the packages look like?
We use numbered security envelopes, the serial number of which is communicated to you in advance so that you can check it on delivery, or in plastic boxes with 1.8 mm thick steel seals that are numbered (you will need pliers or cutters).
Are the packages insured?
Of course. Shipments are insured. The packages are prepared by three of our operators jointly and the operations are video-recorded, so there can be no mistakes. Upon collection you must check the integrity of the envelope or container and reject the package if tampered with.
Can I buy gold in a bank? I know of banks that also sell diamonds.
No. Only professional gold traders, authorised by the Bank of Italy, may sell and buy gold bullion. In reality, it may appear that the bank sells gold, but it is generally an intermediary with third parties for the sale of gold and diamonds. The bank still cannot sell goods but only money-related services.
My bank recommended a third metal bank, not Obrelli, although your prices are lower. Why?
Perhaps they have commercial brokerage agreements with commission.
Can I change my mind after purchase?
Unfortunately not. Distance selling legislation excludes goods that are subject to price changes depending on market fluctuations, such as gold.
Can the private investor buy gold and coins? What taxes do I pay?
Of course. Gold is purchased with a registered invoice but with complete exemption from VAT and taxes.
How come your prices are the lowest I can find?
We work in a family, we have no rent, so costs are limited. We make do with little and firmly believe that a small profit on frequent sales is preferable to a high margin on occasional contracts. In addition, we transform used gold into bars and this also makes us more competitive.
What is your delivery time?
Generally, in-house stock allows us to ship or deliver within one working day after collection. Several times a week, new products arrive from the foundry, so waiting times are always very short. However, as a rule we reserve a maximum time of 15 days for large volume orders or customised products. Of course it is also in our interest to speed up deliveries as much as possible.
